The Ibanez Artist has long been the choice of players looking for an alternative to a Les Paul at a great price. Top notch Japanese quality and workmanship throughout. This AR350 Super Edition is an incredibly rare example. Reports say they only made 112 in this color over the life of the model. These were EXPENSIVE when new thanks to an unfavorable Dollar to Yen exchange. Top of the line quality on this one. Double cutaway mahogany body with a carved maple top for good looks and tone. The 3 piece maple neck features a 22 fret bound ebony fingerboard with gorgeous inlays. Super hip Super Edition 20th fret inlay. Dual Super 58 pickups deliver killer tone. Factory dual sound switches offer a variety of coil splitting options. A Pro Rock'r trem and Top Lok string clamp keep it all rock solid. Original sealed Smooth Tuners. This example is finished in gorgeous MARINE SUNBURST and set off by gold hardware. Sort of a candy apple red metallic look, it's a gorgeous look. AR 350's are rare but this finish is the hardest to find of all. Very cool!
Like most Japanese guitars of the era, this guitar plays and sounds good. Nice feeling neck with low action. The pickups sound great and electronics work as they should. This would be a great guitar for a player and would appeal to many collectors. It's fairly clean for its age.
The guitar shows very minor wear from playing, with a few knicks and bruises on the back mainly. The locking nut has been replaced by a black TUSQ nut, but the original locking nut is included with the guitar. there are very few small cracks in the laquer, and superficial scratches from age. This guitar is in PERFECT playing condition.
If you’re looking for a great guitar for the buck, an Ibanez Artist may be right up your alley. Cool looks, killer tones and nice feel. I’ve watched as they have become collectible over the years. This one is definitely about as collectible as it gets for an 80s Artist. Why buy a new guitar when you can get such a cool vintage guitar for this kind of money? BUY IT NOW and own a great Ibanez!
